DIY PROJECT: HOW TO RESTORE A DINING STOOL

Team up with Ozito to restore your own dining chairs or stools at home with this quick and easy DIY project. Get creative by masking off multiple areas to create some cool patterns.

STEP 1: SANDING

Remove any old varnish, paint or lacquer using a sander. For this project we’ve used our PXC 18V Random Orbital Sander available at your local Bunnings Warehouse.

STEP 2: SPRAYING

Spray your stool with your desired colour or finish. Our 18V Outdoor Paint Spray Gun will easily get the job done with the convenience of cordless operation. Make sure to thin the spray material to suit your spray gun requirements prior to starting. You can find our tips on how to do this here.

STEP 3: GET CREATIVE

Think about different finishes and techniques to make your stool unique. Mask out some patterns or create a vintage look by buffing back a layer of paint with some sandpaper once your paint is dry.
