HAVING TROUBLE FITTING SANDING SHEETS ONTO YOUR DETAIL SANDER?

Detail sanders are a great for working in tight, hard-to-reach locations and for very fine sanding.

The DSR-2000 Detail Sander makes quick work of sanding in small spaces and corners including between louvres, around stair corners, and around window frames.

Switching between sanding sheets is simple with the easy hook and loop paper fitting. If you’re having some difficulties with the sandpapers, here’s a quick step-by-step to help attach your sandpaper. The finer bristles on the backing pad often only require a little extra friction to stick.

STEPS TO MAKING THAT SANDPAPER STICK:

  1. Place your sanding sheet on top of the base pad, and then use the palm of your hand to gently push the sheet down with a little pressure.
  2. Next, peel the sheet off from the pad to bring up the bristles. Now repeat the first step to stick your sanding sheet onto the pad.
  3. Finally, turn on your sander and place it on the surface. Allow the sander to run continuously on the surface for 30 seconds to ensure that the sheet sticks properly.
  4. Get sanding!

Hopefully this has helped you fit your sanding sheets onto your 200W Detail Sander, so you can get started on your next DIY project.

Tip: When using a detail sander, go gently because the sander is meant to remove as little material as possible from the surface, which is especially important when dealing with fragile products and craft projects.

Remember to use steady pressure and let the tool do the work. To achieve that perfect finish, use a variety of grits. The grit number indicates how rough the sandpaper is and how much material it will remove. Higher grit numbers indicate finer finishes.
