Here are some of our top tips for safe and simple use of this versatile power tool:

TOP TIPS

CHECK BLADE

The speed and quality of the cut depends on the condition of the saw blade. So before getting started make sure you check the saw and the blade for chips or broken teeth. Make sure the lower blade guard reacts smoothly and snaps back when released.

SAW POSITION

Keep the base guide as flat and even on your workpiece while you’re moving though a cut. It’s recommended to position the saw with the motor facing inwards towards the larger section of the board that isn’t falling away when cut. This allows the cut to be supported while the severed piece drops away.

PERFECT CROSSCUTS

A straight cut guide is your secret to a perfect square crosscut. Simply guide the edge of the guide along the edge of your workpiece to produce a clean, square cut.

CLAMP IT

Keep your workplace safe and your lines steady by always clamping your workpiece to your workbench.
