HOW TO CUT A CURVED LINE WITH A JIGSAW

Knowing how to use a jigsaw is a great skill to have, and there are always new ways that you can learn to use it. Here are some quick tips to help you cut a curved line with a jigsaw.

Make sure you’ve got a clear line of sight on the blade and the marked cutting path before you try to cut a curved line with a jigsaw. Use your trigger hand to steer the jigsaw and your other hand to apply the downward pressure to keep the base plate level. For a really smooth finish, move slowly through the cut to allow the teeth to do the work. Do a practice run to make sure you’re comfortable with the path your tool will follow. If you’re going outside of the lines you’ve marked, stop, reasses, and start again to get back on track.
